KickoffSync is a free tool that helps football fans add World Cup matches to their calendar. We try to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

  • Your match and team picks are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). They never reach our servers unless you ask for email reminders.
  • Email reminders (optional). If you sign up for reminders, we store your email address, the matches you chose, your reminder timing and your timezone, so we can email you before kickoff. We delete this when you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which measures aggregate page views without cookies and without identifying you.
  • Advertising. We show ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

How we use it

To send the reminders you asked for, to keep the site running and improve it, and to show ads that help keep KickoffSync free. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database that stores reminder subscriptions.
  • Resend — sends the confirmation and reminder emails.
  • Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Google AdSense — advertising. See how Google uses data.

Cookies & ads

The core calendar features don't use tracking cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies to show and measure ads. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings. If you're in the EU/UK, you'll be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from reminders anytime using the link in any reminder email — that deletes your subscription.
  • Clear your picks by clearing your browser storage for this site.
  • Access or deletion: email us (below) to request a copy of, or deletion of, your data.

Data retention

Reminder subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or the tournament ends. Browser-stored picks stay on your device until you clear them.

Children

KickoffSync isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect their data.
